I love the decorative look of this chalkboard. The heavy iron frame is very nice. The cons: it doesn't come with any mounting hardware. My husband had to drill holes in the face of the frame so that we could mount it on the pantry door. When working on drilling the holes, as the frame was off the board, we realized that the board is actually a thin piece of plywood painted with chalkboard paint. However, chalk writes on it well. This fairly small chalk board is nice, but for over $50 after shipping it's too much money.

I have been looking for something for quite a while to hang in my kitchen near the phone to write messages, reminder dates, etc. My kitchen has a Tuscan feel and I could not find a thing I liked until I came across this message board. It is sturdy, expensive looking and looks great with my decor.

Nice quality, adds a nice old-world look to our kitchen dining room. It's HEAVY, with a cast-iron frame, so you will need to make sure you have good hanging hardware. If this thing fell off the wall, it would crack my ceramic tile for sure.
