I have been a long-time fan of foie gras pate and decided to give the duck pate a taste. Lovely, smooth and tasty. I would highly recommend this product for those of you who don't mind splurging occasionally.

The foie gras was at my doorstep in no time, I live in the U.S. and I cannot find foie gras anywhere. I Braised some oxtail for about five hours, and I made a terrine with the foie gras and the oxtail, it was brilliant.

I used the duck confit in my cassoulet, replacing the goose in Julia Child's recipe. It was incredible. I would definitely order this again as the duck was tender and savory. I also substituted pork for lamb and I added andouille sausage which I also ordered through Amazon.com. Excellent results!

Description of product leads you to think it is higher end Foie Gras, not so,Rougie Block of Duck Foie Gras (Pate) 7 oz French luxury, One it is the same product Amazon sells for much less. Customer service at Touch of Europe was unresponsive. Buy this somewhere else.

For the record: I'm not a fan of foie gras.
However, I did not by this for myself. This was bought for my mother as a birthday / mothers day gift.
Product shipped very quickly, my mom was very happy with it. As a coincidence, my mother was born near where this was produced and actually has toured the place.
